“Intelligent waste management system for collecting materials to produce a recycled new product”
INNOMED UP - Birzeit University | جامعة بيرزيت research team, proceeding in the construction of ten smart waste bins to be distributed in multiple locations (Hebron & Nablus) as part on the project main activities, Smart bins are an intelligent waste management system.
They have wireless ultrasonic fill-level sensors embedded inside which detect how full the bin is and then, through the IoT, this data is sent to a cloud-based monitoring and analytics platform, they are designed for private places to collect the materials for local CCI, enabling them to simplify recycling, The main core for the bins is to collect the most needed materials in Palestine including plastic, fabric, leather, then a smart bike will distribute the filled bin to the requested location for processing to produce a recycled new product.
